Founder Trustee

Late Mrs. Kasturi Shoury, the visionary founder trustee of Indiranagar Cambridge School, was a woman of unwavering determination and profound foresight. Born on May 7, 1950 in Tamil Nadu and raised in Mangalore, her journey led her to Bangalore after her marriage to
Mr. K.M. Shoury.

Mrs. Shoury firmly believed that having small aspirations in life was a disservice to one's potential. While working with the Department of Post & Telegraph, she recognized her calling—to make a meaningful contribution to society through education. Determined to provide quality English-medium education to the lower middle class, she founded Indiranagar Cambridge School in 1979.

With just seven students and two teachers, she began the school in a modest rented space in Thippasandra. Balancing her night shifts at the Department of P&T, her responsibilities as a school founder during the day, and her role as a loving mother to three sons, Mrs. Shoury epitomized dedication and perseverance.

Her relentless efforts bore fruit year after year, with the school expanding steadily. In 1986, the institution moved to its current premises, and by 1989, the first batch of Class X students graduated.

Mrs. Shoury was a beacon of energy, resilience, and generosity, always extending a helping hand to those in need. She never sought competition with others but instead believed in continuous self-improvement. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on through the institution she built with passion and purpose. Indiranagar Cambridge School stands tall as a testament to her vision, carrying forward her dream of empowering young minds through education.
